Business Updates:
🤯 Introducing Emsella & Emsculpt Neo at Divergent Rehab & Wellness 🔥
We’re excited to announce the addition of two powerful tools to our rehab and performance practice: the Emsella Chair and Emsculpt Neo.
These technologies are not cosmetic gimmicks — they are evidence-based, FDA-cleared devices that have undergone significant innovation over the past few years. With updated protocols and expanded functionality, both now offer targeted, functional strengthening applications that align perfectly with the goals of physical therapy.
But let us be clear:
These tools are not replacements for rehab. They are strategic additions to accelerate it.
Why These Tools Belong in a Rehab Setting
Recent advancements have made these technologies more functional, neuromuscular-focused, and clinically relevant than ever. Here’s how we’re using them to enhance outcomes:
🔹 Emsella Chair
• Restores pelvic floor strength and improves neuromuscular timing
• Supports recovery from incontinence, prolapse, or postpartum dysfunction
• Provides a non-invasive, high-repetition activation of deep stabilizers
🔹 Emsculpt Neo
• Builds true muscle strength and mass
• Targets the core, hips, and trunk for rehab of low back, pelvic, and postural conditions
• Recent updates allow focused use in postoperative, postpartum, and chronic injury populations
Both technologies are ideal for clients who have difficulty activating key muscle groups, plateaued in therapy, or need to rebuild strength safely and efficiently.

Rehab-First, Results-Focused
We remain a rehab-first practice, and these tools are being used strategically within plans of care to support recovery and function.
When clinically appropriate, portions of this technology may be included at no additional cost as part of a patient’s individualized PT treatment plan.
This aligns with our mission:
✔️ Individualized care
✔️ Innovative tools
✔️ Proven results
✔️ No shortcuts

Movement Health Tips
💡Stronger Foundations = Better Movement, Less Pain
Strength Is Nothing Without Control
Most people think pain comes from weakness — but in many cases, it’s a loss of control, not just a loss of strength, that leads to injury 🤯
Whether you’re returning to sport, recovering from surgery, or sitting at a desk all day, your body needs deep stabilizers to fire properly before your big movers can work efficiently.
If they don’t, you compensate — and that’s where pain starts to show up.
What You Can Do:
Prioritize exercises that target core control, glute activation, and scapular stability
Add isometric holds and tempo work to build motor control
Work with a PT to identify movement imbalances before they become painful
Tool Spotlight: Our new technologies — Emsella and Emsculpt Neo — can help retrain those deep stabilizers when your brain and body aren’t on the same page. (Read more in our main update!)
Remember: Better movement doesn’t mean more movement — it means smarter, more intentional movement. That’s what we help you build!
Pain Education
🔎 Pain Education: Understanding Pain, So You Can Move Past It
Pain is real — but it doesn’t always mean damage
One of the most misunderstood aspects of recovery is the relationship between pain and injury. At Divergent Rehab & Wellness, we help clients unpack what their pain means so they can move forward with clarity, not fear.
🧠 Pain Is a Protective Response, Not Always a Problem
Pain is your body’s alarm system. But sometimes, that system becomes over-sensitive, especially after injury, surgery, or chronic stress. When that happens, your brain might interpret normal movement as dangerous — even when the tissue has healed.
You might experience:
Ongoing pain despite clean imaging
Pain that shifts or spreads
Fatigue, tension, or “tightness” without a clear injury
This doesn’t mean you’re broken. It means your system needs to be retrained — and that’s where targeted rehab and nervous system education make all the difference.
3 Ways to Reframe Pain in Recovery:
Pain ≠ Damage: You can have pain without tissue damage and vice versa.
Movement is Safe: Gradual, guided movement helps desensitize your system.
You’re in Control: Education, breathwork, strength training, and manual therapy can all help dial down the alarm.
Bottom Line:
You don’t need to fear pain — you need to understand it. And you don’t need to push through it — you need a plan.
